JOB PURPOSE
The Environmental/Sustainability Coordinator will work closely with our senior management sponsors and business assurance team to support our environmental and sustainability coordination and initiatives, focusing primarily on performance and progress related to frameworks such as SECR, ESOS, Carbon Reduction and our responsible business plans. You will play a key role as we further develop and lay out or future roadmap on the journey to net zero and implement measures to achieve that. This role will also involve other client reporting initiatives, including preparation for meetings, and fostering a culture of responsible sustainable business practice within our firm. This role involves working closely with other areas of the firm to ensure responsible business goals are met and effectively communicated.
CORE TASKS
- Administrative Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed reports on metrics, progress, initiatives and effectiveness.
- Meeting Preparation: Organise and prepare materials for committee meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
- EMS: Supporting and championing our Environmental Management System and coordinating with our business assurance team to maintain certifications.
- Committee Actions: Coordinate and support the activities of the colleague sustainability committee, ensuring timely execution of initiatives and projects.
- Encouragement and Engagement: Promote environmental/sustainability awareness and engagement among colleagues through workshops, training sessions, and internal communications.
- Data Management: Collect, analyse, and report on data related to responsible business performance and compliance with regulations.
- Policy Development: Assist in the development, implementation and enhancement of responsible business policies and procedures.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal and external stakeholders to advance environmental/sustainability goals and initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving environmental/sustainability practices and recommend actionable solutions.
- Be aware of Brodies’ information security policies, and protect information assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference at all times.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience relating to environmental management and sustainability.
- Experience with project management and administration; coordinating and implementing projects.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to interpret sustainability metrics and identify trends.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Basic understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability principles to support the team to drive sustainable practices across the firm.
